It's January of 2021. 2020 has been something else! Living through a pandemic has been unreal! But one silver lining from it is how much time it gave back to me since working from home and just the world practically closed in general. The holiday season just past and I actually had time to get into the spirit and decorate the house, even though it was only my family and me who got to see it. But one thing I had time for that I've always wanted to do was build a gingerbread house completely from scratch. NO KITS! Just baking from a recipe and constructing it myself. Of course I didn't want to just do a simple house. I wanted to do a version of OUR house. Lucky for me my husband is an engineer/drafter and was able to create templates for me. I was so happy on how it turned out. The worst part was having to toss it in the end. Check out my creation, all completely edible and made by me, minus that candies that I used (and the Lego characters of us that my daughter added).
